We're excited to co-present a special lecture by Tara Faughnan, the 2025 QuiltCon featured lecturer. Tara's lecture, entitled "Value Creates Design" explores how Tara works with value and colour to create design and movement. Tara describes the lecture as follows:

Value is one of the most essential design tools in quilt making. We'll explore how value plays a key role in creating movement, tension or flow in your quilt design. Attendees will also leave with practical exercises to apply to their quilt making process.

The lecture, presented live, will be Tuesday, October 7th, at 6pm. Non-member cost is $30 and registration details are here. The lecture will be presented live, and will not be recorded. Calgary MQG's cancellation policy allows for replacement attendees but no refunds.

This lecture is presented in conjunction with the Lethbridge Modern Quilt Guild and the Twilight Quilters Guild of Norfolk County.
