About Calgary MQG
The Calgary Modern Quilt Guild welcomes all who want to explore and create modern quilts. We are organized as a guild under the umbrella of the Modern Quilt Guild, an organization dedicated tp the growth and development of modern quilting.

The Calgary Modern Quilt guild meets monthly, either virtually or in person. Our meetings are about two hours, and feature a program component of education, discussion or display, followed by a business meeting of announcements and reminders, with show and tell to follow.

In between meetings, we participate in swaps, challenges, classes, community initiatives and other projects. All participation is optional - we know that real life happens, and everyone is welcome to participate in as much or as little of our programming as they would like.

The Calgary MQG follows the MQG Community Guidelines
You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.

Participating in the Calgary MQG
We love guests! If there is a speaker, a guest fee is generally charged, otherwise, your first meeting is free.
Throughout the year we have swaps, challenges, sew days, classes and other programming. You are welcome to participate as your schedule and interest allows. We try and keep costs minimal to encourage everyone to join in.

Joining a guild means learning from other members! Sew days and meetings are a great place to expand your quilting skills.
