Let your scraps run wild! This month’s Blocks for Good challenge is all about bold contrasts, bright prints, and unexpected combinations. It’s a playful, scrappy block that bursts with energy and purpose—perfect for showing off your stash in the most creative way.
This block is based on the rectangular block in the free Pladish pattern by Kitchen Table Quilting. We’re using just that one block to keep things simple, scrappy, and fun!
You’ll be making your blocks with Fabric A as the star – big prints, quirky textures, or anything you love. The block has a bold cross made with Fabric B across all four arms, and the center is anchored with a solid red square in Fabric C. It’s your chance to show off your most vibrant and playful prints for Fabric A!

📌 Block Collection:
Bring your finished Wild Crosses to any CMQG meeting between June and August 2025.
✂️ Fabric Guidelines:
Fabric A – Main Fabric Use scrappy prints—anything goes! Large or small prints, tone-on-tone, or even novelty fabrics. Let your stash shine.

Fabric C – The Centre A 1½" x 1½" red square that ties the block together. Use a solid or reads-as-solid red.

Since we are collecting blocks from June through August 2025, you'll have plenty of time to dig into your stash and sew up a few (or a bunch!). Every block you make helps build a quilt that will bring warmth and comfort to someone in our community. We can’t wait to see what wild combinations you come up with!
Happy stitching,
Your CMQG Community Giving Team 💛
