Economy Blocks to the Max
Our January programming on Maximalism in Modern Quilting inspires our next Block for Good.
Economy Block - unfinished at 8 1/2 inches.
Collection at March, April and May meetings.
It's time to use up some of your multicoloured fabric scraps. Be brave and combine different prints! This is the perfect place to use those colourful scraps from designers such as Tula Pink or Anna Maria Horner. Fussy cut the centres if you'd like. As long as the 3 fabrics in each block are pleasing to the eye, then the quilt top will look fabulous, too. This is a fun block to make!!
Amy Smart - Diary of a Quilter, is the source for this rounds tutorial.
Please cut and sew accurately. There's not much trimming involved. If you're a new quilter, consider adding 1/2 inch to the outer block and cutting at 5 1/2 instead of 5 inches.

The next Blocks for Good pattern will be revealed at the May meeting.
